The Common Trustee Board

As your Trustee Board, we are responsible for making sure the 5 Schemes we look after are run properly and that your benefits are secure.

We are independent of Jacobs. We act responsibly, in accordance with Scheme rules and the law, and in the interests of Scheme members. We work closely and constructively with the Company to plan for the future and make sure members get the pensions benefits they’ve been promised.

The Trustee directors have been selected for their diverse complementary skill set, experience and pensions industry knowledge. Some have been nominated by Scheme members, some appointed by Jacobs UK Limited and another is an independent professional trustee, also appointed by the Company.

Leon Power​

Leon is the Chair of the Common Trustee Board and a Trustee Director, overseeing the Company's Ireland pension arrangements. Previously, he chaired the Babtie, Jacobs Engineering, HPS2, and Allott & Lomax schemes. Leon joined Jacobs in 2003, holding various senior management roles, including Senior Vice President & CFO, before retiring in January 2021.

Karen Lindsey

Karen is a Trustee Director of the Common Trustee Board, previously serving as a member-nominated Trustee Director for the Jacobs Engineering UK Pension Scheme since March 2021. She joined Jacobs in 2000 as a Principal Process Engineer and later transitioned to a Quality professional role in the Defence and Security OU. Since October 2024, Karen has been employed by Amentum. She recently relocated home to Nottingham and has two daughters.

Sally Fern

Sally is a member nominated Trustee Director of the Common Trustee Board, having previously served a Member Nominated Trustee Director of the Babtie scheme. Sally is a deferred member of the Babtie scheme. Sally is based in Edinburgh and is currently Director for Learning at Worley, having spent over 25 years in learning and development roles.

John F Irwin

John is a member-nominated Trustee Director of the Common Trustee Board and a pensioner member of Halcrow Pension Scheme No.2. He has been a Trustee Director since 2011. John graduated in Civil Engineering from UMIST in 1980 and joined Halcrow straight from university. He held various senior roles, including Regional Director and Operations Director, before joining High Speed 2 in 2012 as Director of Civil Engineering until retiring in September 2020.

Stuart Walters

Stuart is an independent trustee, working for Vidett, who has been appointed by the Company as Trustee Director of the Common Trustee Board.

Sally Miles

Sally is an employer appointed Trustee Director of the Common Trustee Board since September 2023.
